Abstract: Agriculture is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy over the years, this can be attributed to increased productivity. Several factors affect this production, such as the emergence of pests and diseases, leading to the excessive use of agrochemicals. A sustainable and economical alternative is the use of bioinputs. The rhizobacterium Bacillus subtilis can be used as a growth promoter and in the biological control of plant diseases. By performing these functions, its application in agriculture has become of great importance. In this context, we sought to carry out an integrative review on the use of Bacillus subtilis in agriculture. For the study, the method of selection of scientific articles, called ProKnow-c, was used. This method deals with the systematization of the process of searching and selecting articles, making use of bibliometric analysis techniques. After selection and analysis of the articles, a portfolio of 78 relevant works of scientific recognition and aligned with the research theme was obtained. It was observed that China is the country with the highest number of publications, Brazil occupies the third position. The years 2019 and 2021 were the periods with the highest number of publications and 2022 with the highest number of citations. Most authors obtained similar amounts of publications and Wang et al. (2018) observed the highest number of citations (77) in the publication. Thus, it can be concluded that Bacillus subtilis is a bacterium of paramount importance in agriculture and that it has been widely used and studied over the years.
