USO DA TOXINA BOTULÍNICA TIPO A PARA SORRISO GENGIVAL: RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO
O sorriso deve ser harmônico,
havendo equilíbrio entre a forma e as cores
do elemento dental e também com uma boa
proporção entre lábio e gengiva. Ao sorrir, a
exposição gengival deve variar de 1 mm a 3 mm.
O objetivo deste estudo consiste em fazer uma
revisão de literatura e uma apresentação de um
caso clínico no qual foi aplicada uma solução
clínica conservadora para o tratamento estético
do sorriso gengival pelo excesso vertical da
maxila com a utilização terapêutica da toxina
botulínica tipo-A. Paciente NMF, 27 anos de
idade, normossitêmica, do sexo feminino
compareceu ao atendimento odontológico com a queixa principal de exposição gengival
em excesso ao sorrir que comprometia o bem-estar da paciente. O caso da paciente
para publicação foi submetido ao Comitê de Ética interno da instituição cujo o número
do protocolo: 0929/2017. A paciente teve seu problema resolvido através da injeção
da toxina botulínica tipo-A em apenas um ponto de aplicação (no músculo elevador
do lábio superior e da asa do nariz) como uma abordagem alternativa de tratamento.
Concluimos o caso com resultados bastante satisfatorios tanto para a paciente com
para o cirurgião-dentista.

Abstract:
The smile must be harmonic, having balance between the form and the
colors of the dental element and also with a good ratio between lip and gengiva. When
smiling, the gengival exposition must vary of 1 mm the 3 mm. The objective of this
study consists of making a revision of literature and a presentation of a clinical case
in which conservative for the aesthetic treatment of the gengival smile for the vertical
excess of the jaw with the therapeutical use of the botulínica toxin was applied a clinical
solution type-THe. Patient NMF, 27 years of age, normossitêmica, of the feminine sex
appeared to the odontológico attendance with the main complaint of gengival exposition
in excess when smiling that it compromised well-being of the patient. The case of the
patient for publication was submitted the internal Committee of Ethics of the institution
whose the number of the protocol: 0929/2017. The patient had its problem decided
through the injection of the botulínica toxin type-In only one point of application (in the
elevating muscle of the superior lip and the wing of the nose) as an alternative boarding
of treatment. Concluimos the case with sufficiently satisfactory results in such a way
for the patient with for the surgeon-dentist.
