Abstract: The use of gamification is beginning to gain visibility within higher education institutions, which was possible to observe through the monitoring carried out in the discipline of Histology and Embryology offered by Christus Faculdade do Piauí (CHRISFAPI). Monitoring is an activity supervised by the professor of the subject and it arises with the aim of improving the teaching-learning process of both parts of the academic student body, student and monitor, through pedagogical practices combined with active methodologies. Resources such as PowerPoint and Word were used for the elaboration of didactic strategies, such as word searches and quiz. With this, it was possible to observe that elements present in the games make the teaching-learning process more interactive, motivating and pleasurable, thus increasing the student's interest and academic performance.
