Abstract: This article aims to reflect on the applied usability and learning of Brazilian digital television. It addresses market perspectives in Brazil and Latin America, citing cases where usability has been a decisive factor in extending the product lifecycle. It explicates three actors in the interactive context: the user, the interface, and the broadcaster, highlighting interaction and usability engineering with an emphasis on ensuring the consolidation of interactivity. Usability ease - combined with investments in democratizing broadband; market consumer prospecting and segmentation; digital technological advances that allow superior quality to television signals; and technological convergence - will certainly break the paradigm of the passive viewer, transforming them into an active participant.
