ÚRSULA: A REPRESENTAÇÃO DA FIGURA FEMININA NA OBRA
O trabalho em voga tem como objetivo analisar a representação da figura feminina na obra Úrsula de Maria Firmina dos Reis, mulher de descendência africana, representa em sua obra personagens femininas, personificadas com características fortes, à frente da sua época. Considerado o primeiro romance abolicionista brasileiro de autoria feminina, aborda diversos aspectos, dentre os quais a situação da mulher mediante a sociedade autoritária e patriarcal do Brasil no século XIX. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de forma analítica, por meio da obra de REIS (1859), PRIORE, MARY DEL (2010), CANDIDO (1976) e ABRANTES (2010), na qual buscou-se examinar de que forma é explorada a figura da mulher pela autora. Diante do estudo, constatou-se que a obra representa uma crítica aos valores machistas e excludentes vigentes nesse período.

Abstract:
The work in vogue has as objective to analyze the representation of the female figure in the work Ursula de Maria Firmina dos Reis, a woman of African descent, represents in her work female characters, the two characters present in the work, are personified with strong characteristics, front of his time. Considered the first Brazilian abolitionist novel of female authorship, it addresses several aspects, among which the situation of women through the authoritarian and patriarchal society of Brazil in the nineteenth century. For this, a bibliographic research was carried out, analytically, through the work of REIS (1859), PRIORE, MARY DEL (2010), CANDIDO (1976) and ABRANTES (2010) it is necessary to examine how the woman's figure is exploited by the author. Before the study, it was verified that the work represents a criticism to the macho and excludentes values in force in that period.
