UNIVERSIDADE E PRODUÇÃO DE CONHECIMENTO: NOTAS SOBRE UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO COM JOVENS ESTUDANTES SECUNDARISTAS DAS PERIFERIAS DE GOIÂNIA, LISBOA E MADRID.
O presente trabalho buscou
identificar, tendo por base os postulados da
Psicologia Social e da Sociologia da Juventude,
os aspectos que impactam na construção
do projeto de vida de jovens estudantes
secundaristas em três diferentes países e cotejálos
com as representações de futuro, tendo por
base as narrativas dos sujeitos investigados. O
trabalho de campo, cuja amostra foi composta
por 314 jovens secundaristas de Portugal,
Espanha e Brasil, envolveu a aplicação de um
questionário contendo 28 questões relativas
a dados gerais, características da família,
situação socioeconômica, trajetória escolar,
projeto de vida e expectativas pessoais quanto
ao futuro. Em seu viés qualitativo, trabalhouse
com os jovens a partir da metodologia
denominada Roda de Conversa, com a
utilização de imagens produzidas por um jovem
designer, tendo por motivo algumas ‘cenas do
cotidiano’ de jovens brasileiros moradores da
periferia das cidades metropolitanas. Quanto
aos resultados, identificou-se a predominância
de ‘dúvida’, ‘receio’ e insegurança quanto ao
desconhecido’ no que tange ao projeto de vida
e ao futuro. Apesar disto, os jovens informam a
esperança de ‘vencer na vida pela profissão’ e
o entusiasmo diante da possibilidade de ‘formar
uma família’ e da ‘superação’ dos obstáculos.

Abstract:
The present work sought to
identify, based on the postulates of Social
Psychology, Philosophy and Sociology of the
Youth, the aspects that would have an impact
on the construction of the young secondary
student’s life project in three different countries
and compare them with the representations
regarding the future, through the narratives of
the investigated subjects. The fieldwork was
composed of a 314 young secondary students
sample, from Portugal, Brasil and Spain. It
was supported by its quantitative bias, with the
application of a questionnaire which contained
28 (twenty eight) questions involving general
data, family characteristics, socioeconomic
situation, school pathway, life project, and
personal expectations about the future. In its
qualitative bias, work was carried out with young
people using a methodology denominated Roda
de Conversa (conversation gathering), with the
use images produced by a young designer which
had as a motivation tool some ‘daily scenes’
of young Brazilians that live in the outskirts of

metropolitan cities. As for the results, it was identified the predominance of ‘doubt’,
‘fear’ and ‘insecurity about the unknown’ in what concerns the life project and the future.
Despite that, the youth reveal their hope to become ‘successful through work’ and show
enthusiasm about the possibility of building a family and overcoming obstacles.
