Abstract: NAP Sustexmoda has followed a series of projects that pretend to contribute to a more sustainable industry, reducing the negative impact that usually accompanies such activity. Among the projects monitored, there are two with socio-environmental characteristics that provide training for people in social vulnerability in the city of São Paulo, enabling them to produce products that enable the generation of income using textile residues and post-consumer clothing and accessories as raw material. The solidary economy is a form of production that presents itself as an opposition to the traditional capitalist model of production. In addition to being a tool for income generation, it is presented as a strategy for economic and social development, resulting in a model for structuring the workforce according to egalitarian standards, based on solidarity, self-management and valuing human beings. The circular economy proposes a review of the linear production model based on extraction, production and disposal and presents a vision that rethinks the production process, focusing on the elimination of waste as opposed to the disposal of unused material. Analyzing the mentioned projects identifies which characteristics of solidarity and circular economies are present.
