UMA PROPOSTA DE MAPEAMENTO DE ESTOQUES: OS DESAFIOS DA GESTÃO DE ESTOQUES EM UMA LOJA DE MATERIAL DE CONSTRUÇÃO
Este trabalho é resultado de um estudo de caso feito em uma loja de material de construção no estado do RJ. Tendo como objetivo: elaborar uma proposta de mapeamento de estoque através do software SketchUp, visando estabelecer critérios de armazenagem para otimizar o processo de armazenamento e atendimento ao cliente. Para responder ao problema e atingir os objetivos, realizou-se como metodologia uma pesquisa: aplicada, bibliográfica, exploratória, de campo. Justifica-se a relevância do tema gestão de estoque por ser um grande desafio gerencial: estoque versus capital. Mostrando-se então relevante, pois impacta diretamente na rentabilidade e na competitividade empresarial; além de contribuir cientificamente com o desenvolvimento dos engenheiros de produção.

Abstract:
This work is the result of a case study carried out at a building material store in the state of RJ. Aiming: to prepare an inventory mapping proposal through the software SketchUp, intending to establish storage criteria to optimize the storage process and customer service. To address the problem and reach the goals, a survey was carried out as a methodology: applied, bibliographic, exploratory, field. The relevance of the inventory management is vindicated by being a major managerial challenge: inventory versus capital. It shows up then relevant, since it impacts directly on profitability and business competitiveness; in addition to scientifically contribute to the development of production engineers.
