Abstract: This article presents a study of the forms of verbal recreation of two static images from the show Rigoletto, by Giuseppe Verdi, presented at the Municipal Theater of São Paulo in 2019, aiming at audio description and accessibility for people with visual impairments. In relief, the images of the scenic space are described by texts that seek to include aspects of the luminous atmospheres present in them. The research methodology uses the dialogic/aesthetic process (Bakhtin, 2020), established by spectator triangulation to prepare the audio description of the chosen images. How to insert lighting effects and their functions in the staging of the show in these descriptive texts? The dialogism of the process experienced in the roles of screenwriter, reviewer and visually impaired consultant collaboratively results in the text that describes two drawings of the scenographic project. We present aspects of the demands of this task of creating descriptions for accessibility, articulated with the presence of light in these texts.
