UMA AVALIAÇÃO DAS CONDIÇÕES DE SANEAMENTO BÁSICO EM ÁREAS ESPECIAIS DE INTERESSE SOCIAL EM NATAL/RN
A cada discussão desenvolvida atualmente, acerca do desenvolvimento urbano, perpassa pela necessidade de fomento ao desenvolvimento humano além da mera sobrevivência nas grandes cidades, sendo essa qualidade de vida urbana indissociável das condições do fornecimento de infraestrutura básica à população. Sob a necessidade de diagnóstico urbano, decorrente do processo de regularização fundiária, objetiva-se uma avaliação das condições de saneamento básico da área de estudo, a partir da análise dos dados estatísticos incidentes em áreas especiais de interesse social, contrastando esse fato mediante revisão bibliográfica, compilação de diretrizes projetuais, bem como a avaliação da adequação do processo de urbanização com a via legal regida pela instituição do Plano Nacional de Saneamento Básico (PLANSAB). Os resultados explicitam que o crescimento demográfico vertiginoso em conjunto com as alterações nas políticas públicas, fruto da descontinuidade da gestão municipal, agrava as falhas inerentes no plano urbanístico.

Abstract:
Each discussion currently developed, about urban development, goes through the need to promote human development beyond mere survival in large cities, and this quality of urban life is inseparable from the conditions of providing basic infrastructure to the population. Under the need for urban diagnosis, resulting from the land regularization process, the objective is to evaluate the basic sanitation conditions of the study area, based on the analysis of statistical data on special areas of social interest, contrasting this fact through a bibliographic review. , compilation of design guidelines, as well as the assessment of the adequacy of the urbanization process with the legal route governed by the institution of the National Basic Sanitation Plan (PLANSAB). The results show that the vertiginous demographic growth together with the changes in public policies, as a result of the discontinuity of municipal management, aggravates the inherent flaws in the urban plan.
