UMA ANÁLISE SEMIÓTICA PEIRCIANA DA MUDANÇA DE PMDB A MDB, OU DAS “MUDANÇAS” POLÍTICAS NO BRASIL
O presente artigo visa a analisar, por meio da semiótica peirciana, as mudanças realizadas pelo antes Partido do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (PMDB) para Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB). A análise se utiliza dos conceitos de primeiridade, secundidade e terceiridade com enfoque tanto nas mudanças linguísticas da sigla quanto nas imagéticas do logo do partido. Assim, a ideia é, a partir desse fenômeno, ampliar a leitura para o cenário político brasileiro como um todo.

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze, through Peircean semiotics, the change of name from Brazilian Democratic Movement Party (PMDB) to Brazilian Democratic Movement (MDB). The analysis uses the concepts of firstness, secondness and thirdness, focusing both on the linguistic changes of the acronym and on the imagery of the party's logo. Thus, the idea is, based on this phenomenon, to expand the reading to the panoramic Brazilian political scenario.
