UMA ANÁLISE DA INFLUÊNCIA DO PADRÃO DE BELEZA EUROCÊNTRICO NA AUTOESTIMA DA MULHER NEGRA

Este artigo analisa a influência do padrão de beleza eurocêntrico na construção da autoestima da mulher negra. A pesquisa considera os impactos socioculturais que afetam a percepção individual e coletiva da beleza, enfatizando como os padrões impostos podem gerar conflitos identitários e afetar negativamente a autoestima. Por meio de revisão bibliográfica e análise crítica, o trabalho evidencia a necessidade de reconhecimento e valorização da diversidade estética para promover o empoderamento e a autoestima positiva das mulheres negras. Os resultados apontam para a importância da desconstrução dos estereótipos e da ampliação dos padrões de beleza, com destaque para ações educativas e sociais que fomentem a valorização da identidade negra.

  • Abstract: This article analyzes the influence of the Eurocentric beauty standard on the construction of Black women's self-esteem. The research considers the sociocultural impacts affecting individual and collective perceptions of beauty, emphasizing how imposed standards can cause identity conflicts and negatively affect self-esteem. Through bibliographic review and critical analysis, the study highlights the need for recognition and appreciation of aesthetic diversity to foster empowerment and positive self-esteem among Black women. The results underscore the importance of deconstructing stereotypes and expanding beauty standards, emphasizing educational and social actions that promote the valorization of Black identity.
