UM RETRATO DO INDÍGENA NO LIVRO DIDÁTICO: UMA ABORDAGEM A PARTIR DA NOÇÃO DE ‘ESTRUTURA DE SENTIMENTO’ DE RAYMOND WILLIAMS
Os significados que atribuímos ao mundo e à nossa própria existência são fluidos, já que se delineiam a partir dos múltiplos campos de experiências culturais a que nos submetemos ao longo da vida e que contribuem, por extensão, para a construção de visões de mundo e expectativas sobre a vida, sempre em constante processo de ressignificação. A respeito dessa fluidez que compõe o universo simbólico de cada indivíduo, Raymond Williams (1979) compreende essa cinesia do ser por meio do conceito de ‘estrutura de sentimento’. Posto isso, propomo-nos problematizar o indígena brasileiro por meio das iconografias – ilustrações, fotografias e pinturas – presentes na coleção História, Sociedade & Cidadania, a partir do conceito de ‘estrutura de sentimento’, por meio do qual analisaremos as imagens do indígena brasileiro no livro didático de História. Sendo assim, o presente estudo parte da noção de ‘estrutura de sentimento’ de Raymond Williams, a fim de compreender o que é dominante, residual e emergente no modo de perceber tais sujeitos. Concluímos que as iconografias oferecem uma percepção reducionista ou simplificadora dos povos indígenas, como se todas as etnias fossem iguais e partilhassem da mesma cultura, sem historicizá-la ou mostrar seu caráter multifacetado e dinâmico.

Abstract:
The meanings that we attribute to the world and to our own existence are fluid, because it outline from various fields of cultural experiences that we subject during the life and that contribute, by extension, to the construction of worldviews and expectation about life, always in a constant process of resignification. Regarding this fluidity that makes up the symbolic universe of each individual, Raymond Williams (1979), understands this kinesia as the medium of the concept of ‘structure of feeling’. According to this, we suggest question the Brazilian indigenous through iconographies – illustrations, photographs and paintings – present in the textbook’s collection named ‘História, Sociedade e Cidadania’, from the concept of ‘structure of feeling’, in which we analyse images of Brazilian indigenous. Thus, the present investigation come from Raymond Williams’ notion of ‘structure of feeling’, to understand what’s dominant, residual and emerging in the way of perceiving these behaviors. We conclude that the iconographies offer a reducing or simplifying perception of the indigenous groups, as all the ethnicities shared the same culture, without realizing historical particularities or showing their diversity and dynamic character.
