TURISMO RESPONSÁVEL COMO FOMENTADOR DA SUSTENTABILIDADE TURÍSTICA EM CARANGOLA (MG)
Este artigo discutiu o “Turismo Responsável” e se objetivou a apresentá-lo como um meio de incentivar a sustentabilidade num sentido amplo. As noções utilizadas nesta pesquisa advieram dos meios para um Turismo Responsável do Ministério do Turismo e de uma revisão narrativa, utilizando autores como Sérgio Oliveira e Rosislene de Fátima Fontana que possuem ampla contribuição para a atividade turística. Neste trabalho se enfatiza ainda, o papel do turismólogo como colaborador fundamental no desenvolvimento desse processo sustentável. Este artigo se justifica, sobretudo, diante do fato do turismo responsável não ser plenamente difundindo no Brasil, mas que vem contando com iniciativas importantes como a que ocorreu num projeto de extensão na UEMG - Unidade Carangola. O projeto relacionou o Turismo com a proteção dos recursos hídricos no município da mesma instituição. Os resultados do projeto despertaram a necessidade de aprofundamento do assunto e contribuíram com os dados utilizados neste artigo.

Abstract:
This article discussed “Responsible Tourism” and it aimed to present that as a path of encouraging sustainability in a broad sense. The notions used in this research came from the paths for Responsible Tourism of the Ministry of Tourism and from a narrative review, using authors such as Sérgio Oliveira and Rosislene de Fátima Fontana who have a wide contribution to the tourist activity. This work also emphasizes the role of the tourism specialist as a fundamental contributor in the development of this sustainable process. This article is specially justified by the fact that responsible tourism is not fully widespread in Brazil, but the activity can count on some important initiatives such as an extension project at UEMG - Carangola Campus. The project linked Tourism with the protection of water resources in the city of the same institution. The project results showed the need to deepen the subject and they contributed to the data used in this article.
