sistemático, destacando o potencial turístico

existente e em condições de ser explorado

de forma mais adequada, pode equacionar as

fragilidades do setor do turismo no espaço rural,

incrementar significativamente a economia

e desenvolver regiões. Este estudo objetiva

investigar a gestão, relacionada ao turismo no

espaço rural, realizada pelos municípios na

região da Quarta Colônia do Rio Grande do

Sul/Brasil e, mais especificamente, verificar

quais ações no setor de turismo estão sendo

implementadas pelos municípios. Para orientar

este trabalho foi realizado um estudo multicasos,

com uma pesquisa qualitativa, sendo que,

através de levantamento bibliográfico e

entrevistas com gestores públicos constatou-se

que a referida região possui atrativos turísticos

relevantes e em grande quantidade no espaço

rural, entretanto, na percepção dos responsáveis

pelo setor nos municípios que compõem a

região, os investimentos são incipientes e ficam

muito aquém da potencialidade existente.

Abstract:
The development of a systematic

planning, highlighting the existing tourism

potential and in conditions of being exploited

more appropriately, can evaluate the

weaknesses of the tourism sector in rural areas,

significantly increase the economy and develop

regions. This study aims to investigate the

management, concerning tourism in rural areas,

performed by the municipalities in the region of

Quarta Colônia in Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil and,

particularly, to determine which actions in the

tourism sector are being implemented by municipalities. To guide this work a multicases

study was conducted, with a qualitative research, and through a bibliografic survey and

interviews with public managers it was observed that the stated region has relevant

tourist attractions and in large amounts in rural areas, however, the perception of the

responsible for the sector in the municipalities from the region, is that investments are

incipient and fall far short of the existing potential.
