Abstract: Ovarian neoplasms are the third most common gynecological neoplasm, behind only cervical and endometrial neoplasms, according to the National Cancer Institute. Ovarian neoplasms are divided into subgroups, one of which is the epithelial type, which can be classified as serous, mucinous, endometrioid, or clear cell. Borderline ovarian tumors can be either serous or mucinous, with the latter being the rarest. Borderline mucinous tumors are characterized as having intermediate malignant potential, most commonly occurring in women between 30 and 50 years of age, and exhibit rapid and exorbitant growth, but with a good prognosis. This article aims to describe the experience during the theoretical follow-up of a patient diagnosed with an endocervical-like borderline mucinous tumor. The experience provides observation of the diagnostic process, therapeutic planning and the conduct adopted by the multidisciplinary team, contributing to broadening understanding of clinical, surgical and humanistic aspects of care, strengthening training.
