TRICOTILOMANIA: UM TRANSTORNO PSICOLÓGICO E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES NEGATIVAS NA SAÚDE DOS CABELOS
A Tricotilomania é um transtorno psicológico que atua diretamente na saúde dos cabelos trazendo vários transtornos para quem sofre dessa patologia. O portador dessa patologia, perde sua autoestima, afetividade e socialização com outras pessoas, buscando muitas vezes formas errôneas de tratamento. O objetivo geral deste capítulo é trazer a compreensão do Transtorno de Tricotilomania, possíveis diagnósticos, as causas, consequências e agravantes, alimentação saudável, os tratamentos disponíveis para controlar o transtorno, os cuidados necessários que o indivíduo deve ter para manter sua a saúde física e mental.

Abstract:
Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder that acts directly on hair health bringing various disorders for those suffering from this pathology. The carrier of this pathology loses his self-esteem, affection and socialization with other people, often seeking erroneous forms of treatment. The general objective is to bring understanding of Trichotillomania Disorder, possible diagnoses, causes, consequences and aggravating factors, healthy eating, the treatments available to control the disorder, the necessary care that the individual should have to maintain his physical and mental health. This is a qualitative Literature Review. The database selected for the selection of articles was LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences). The results of the study demonstrated how the pathology and its injuries are diagnosed, in addition to presenting the best treatments currently existing
