TRATAMENTOS DE SEMENTES, EMERGÊNCIA E CRESCIMENTO DE PLÂNTULAS DE Cinnamomum zeylanicum COM SOLUÇÃO NUTRITIVA
O Brasil importa de diferentes países
em quantidade Cinnamomum zeylanicum,
também conhecida como canela do Ceilão tanto
cascas quanto óleo essencial, principalmente
pelo insipiente ou inexistente cultivo comercial
desta especiaria no País. Assim, em razão da
necessidade de estudar e indicar tratamentos
para promover a germinação das sementes
para a formação de mudas de Cinnamomum
zeylanicum, aplicou-se tratamentos prégerminativos
para promover emergência
uniforme, bem como formação de mudas de
qualidade com adição de solução nutritiva. Aos
10 dias após a semeadura pela velocidade
de emergência de plântulas identificou-se
diferenças entre os tratamentos. Em sementes
descascadas com imersão em álcool, índice
de 2,11 e sementes descascadas imersas
em hipoclorito, índice de 1,58, enquanto nas
sementes intactas índice zero. Assim, a retirada
das cascas da semente de Cinnamomum
zeylanicum é indicada para promover a
emergência de plântulas. A solução nutritiva na
concentração de 50% proporciona crescimento
em altura, diâmetro do caule e maiores índice
de qualidade de Dickson, massa seca da parte
aérea, massa seca do sistema radicular e massa
seca total, sendo indicado para a produção de
mudas de C. zeylanicum.

Abstract:
Brazil imports from different
countries in a large amount Cinnamomum
zeylanicum, also known as Ceylon cinnamon
from both bark and essential oil, mainly by the
incipient or inexistent commercial cultivation
of this spice in the Country. Thus, on account
of the need to study and indicate treatments
to promote seed germination for the formation
of Cinnamomum zeylanicum seedlings, pregermination
treatments were applied to promote
uniform emergence, as well as formation of
high quality seedlings with addition of nutrient
solution. At 10 days after sowing by the
seedling emergence speed, differences among
treatments were identified. In shelled seeds with
immersion in alcohol, index of 2.11 and peeled

seeds immersed in hypochlorite, index of 1.58 were found, while in intact seeds,
index zero was found. Thus, removal of the bark from the Cinnamomum zeylanicum
seed is indicated to promote emergence of seedlings. The nutrient solution at 50%
concentration provides growth in height, stem diameter and higher Dickson quality
index, dry shoot mass, dry mass of the root system and total dry mass, being indicated
for the production of seedlings of C. zeylanicum.
