TRATAMENTO ORTODÔNTICO PRÉ-ENXERTO EM PACIENTE COM FISSURA TRANSFORAME INCISIVO BILATERAL: RELATO DE CASO
Introdução: As fissuras labiopalatinas são malformações congênitas que
comprometem a audição, mastigação, deglutição e a estética do seu portador.
Devido a sua complexidade, a reabilitação do individuo acometido é
interdisciplinar e inicia-se na primeira infância até a fase adulta. Objetivo: relatar
o caso de um paciente com fissura transforame incisivo bilateral que foi submetido
a fase de pré-enxerto, adotando o protocolo de fases do tratamento ortodôntico do
HRAC-USP com a finalidade de expansão maxilar e preparo para a segunda fase
da cirurgia de enxerto ósseo alveolar através do disjuntor palatal Hyrax
modificado. Conclusão: Pôde-se concluir a importância do ortodontista no
tratamento reabilitador de pacientes com fissura labiopalatina, visto que tendem a
apresentar alterações no complexo maxilofacial.

Abstract:
Introduction: Lip and palate clefts are congenital malformations that compromise
the hearing, speech, chewing, swallowing and aesthetics of its wearer. Due to the
complexity, rehabilitation of the affected individual is interdisciplinary and begins in
early childhood until adulthood. Objective: The aim of this study was report the
case of a patient with bilateral cleft lip and palate that was submitted to the pre-
graft phase, adopting the protocol of phases of orthodontic treatment of HRAC-
USP with a purpose of maxillary expansion and preparation for the second phase
of alveolar bone graft surgery through the Hyrax fan-type. Conclusion: It could be
concluded that the orthodontist is extremely important in the rehabilitative
treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate, since they tend to present alterations
in the maxillofacial complex.
