Abstract: Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, significantly affecting quality of life. This study reviewed therapeutic approaches to the condition, emphasizing the importance of a multidisciplinary treatment strategy. Medications used include antidepressants and anticonvulsants, such as duloxetine and pregabalin, which have shown effectiveness in reducing symptoms. However, the lack of a definitive diagnostic test continues to hinder treatment, leading to delayed diagnoses. Additionally, non-pharmacological approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, are essential for managing the mental health aspects associated with fibromyalgia. The research highlights the need for further studies on the underlying mechanisms of the condition, as well as investigating the role of gut microbiota and genetic factors. Effective treatment of fibromyalgia should be personalized, considering the unique needs of each patient to provide better quality of life.
