TRANSUMANISMO VIDA ETERNA, HUMANIDADE POTENCIALIZADA OU EUFORIA PRONTA PARA MERCANTILIZAÇÃO
personagem transumana Bethany Bisme-Lyons, da série de ficção futurológica Years and Years (BBC, 2019). O intuito é fornecer informações para um debate que possa localizar se estamos, hoje, enquanto sociedade, mais próximos de experiências que podem potencializar nossas humanidades - entre elas, uma vida eterna - ou se estaríamos mais suscetíveis a ter meramente padrões de nosso comportamento assimilados pelo algoritmo, transformados em avatares que simulam nossa existência e escoados em produtos que perpetuam poder econômico. O aporte teórico principal serão os conceitos de mente, cognição e consciência do neurocientista Andrew Smart (2016) e os conceitos de pulsão e aparelho psíquico em Psicanálise. Complementaremos este aporte com os conceitos de programa e automação do filósofo Vilém Flusser (2017); os conceitos de trabalho e patriarcado no Manifesto Ciborgue, da bióloga e filosofa Donna Haraway (1986); a crítica à celebração tecnológica, entendida pelo filósofo Éric Sadin (2018) como estratégia de aculturação e ganho de mercado; e a crítica à mercantilização da rede e de seus actantes, dos pesquisadores em mídia José van Dijck, Thomas Poell e Martijn de Waal (2018).

Abstract:
This article reflects on the relationship between human beings and artificial intelligence based on the transhuman character Bethany Bisme-Lyons, from the futuristic fiction series Years and Years (BBC, 2019). The aim is to provide information for a debate that can locate if we are, today, as a society, closer to experiences that can enhance our humanities - among them, an eternal life - or if we would be more susceptible to having merely patterns of our behavior assimilated by algorithm, transformed into avatars that simulate our existence and disposed of in products that perpetuate economic power. The main theoretical contribution are the concepts of mind, cognition and consciousness of the neuroscientist Andrew Smart (2016) and the concepts of drive and psychic apparatus in Psychoanalysis. We complement that contribution with the concepts of program and automation by the philosopher Vilém Flusser (2017); the concepts of work and patriarchy in the Cyborg Manifesto, by biologist and philosopher Donna Haraway (1986); the criticism of technological celebration, understood by the philosopher Éric Sadin (2018) as a strategy of acculturation and market gain; and the criticism of the commercialization of the network and its actors, by media researchers José van Dijck, Thomas Poell and Martijn de Waal (2018).
