TRANSTORNOS ALIMENTARES MATERNOS E DIETA INFANTIL: UMA REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA
Os transtornos alimentares podem ser definidos como doenças mentais crônicas, que acometem mais comumentemente as mulheres e podem ser diagnosticados como Anorexia Nervosa ou Bulimia Nervosa. Devido à grande ocorrência de transtornos alimentares em idade reprodutiva e como as mães são as principais influenciadoras no processo de educação alimentar, a investigação perante os hábitos alimentares de filhos de mulheres com transtorno alimentar tornou-se um tema de importante preocupação. Deste modo, a presente revisão sistemática tem por objetivo reunir estudos recentes que avaliaram o impacto da ocorrência de transtorno alimentar materno sobre a dieta infantil. As buscas pelos artigos foram realizadas através das bases de dados Medline, Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct e Web of Science. Utilizou-se as seguintes palavras-chave “Feeding and Eating Disorders and Maternal Behavior and Child Nutrition” e “Trastornos de Alimentación y de la Ingestión de Alimentos y Conducta Materna y Nutrición del Niño”. Um total de 671 estudos foram identificados e após a triagem de artigos, com base nos títulos e resumos, 15 trabalhos completos foram avaliados para elegibilidade, dos quais 9 foram excluídos e assim, apenas 6 artigos preencheram os critérios de seleção e foram incluídos nesta revisão. De modo geral, os trabalhos selecionados fortaleceram a evidência de que o transtorno alimentar materno pode influenciar de forma negativa no comportamento alimentar infantil. Ainda é necessário que novos estudos sejam realizados para que seja possível visualizar se o comportamento alimentar materno determinará as práticas alimentares dos filhos e se perdurará por toda a vida dos mesmos.

Abstract:
Eating disorders can be defined as chronic mental illnesses, which most commonly affect women and can be diagnosed as Nervous Anorexia or Nervous Bulimia. Due to the great occurrence of eating disorders in reproductive age and as mothers are the main influencers in the process of food education, research on the eating habits of children of women with eating disorders has become an issue of major concern. The present systematic review aims to gather recent studies that have assessed the impact of the occurrence of maternal eating disorder on children's diets. Searches for articles were carried out through the Medline, Pubmed, Scielo, Science Direct and Web of Science databases. The following keywords that were used: “Feeding and Eating Disorders and Maternal Behavior and Child Nutrition” and “Trastornos de Alimentación y de la Ingestión de Alimentos y Conducta Materna y Nutrición del Niño”. A total of 671 studies were identified and after screening articles, based on titles and abstracts, 15 full papers were assessed for eligibility, of which 9 were excluded and thus, only 6 articles met the selection criteria and were included in this review. In general, the selected studies strengthened the evidence that maternal eating disorder can negatively influence children's eating behavior. It is still necessary for new studies to be carried out so that it is possible to see if the maternal eating behavior will determine the feeding practices of the children and will last for their entire life.
