Abstract: Rupture of the intrapelvic urethra has a low incidence due to the protection of the anatomical structures present; corrections are difficult to access, making it a major challenge for urological surgeons. Therefore, the objective of this work is to report a case of pre-pubic transposition with penile section due to rupture of the prostatic urethra, sacro-iliac disjunction, fracture of the ileum and pubis. Referred to the Mundo Animal Veterinary Hospital, a male, castrated canine, dachshund breed, 2 years old, with a history of automobile trauma, after the results, the patient was referred for exploratory celiotomy, which revealed rupture of the prostatic urethra, the technique chosen for correction was prepubic urethral transposition. It is concluded that urethral transposition is a viable surgical alternative for rupture of the pelvic urethra in male dogs.
