TRANSIÇÃO ENERGÉTICA DO SETOR ELÉTRICO BRASILEIRO: PRINCIPAIS DESAFIOS E OPORTUNIDADES
A transição energética apresenta-se como solução urgente frente às mudanças climáticas globais. A descarbonização das matrizes energéticas das nações mundiais exige a modernização e aplicação de instrumentos regulatórios para a flexibilização de seus sistemas energéticos, afim de que possam alcançar metas de sustentabilidade energética. As iniciativas nacionais e internacionais de transição energética estão contidas no estudo. Desde os anos 2000 o Brasil vem adotando medidas de fomento e de expansão do uso de fontes de energia renováveis de modo a atender o compromisso firmado dos acordos internacionais de proteção ao meio ambiente e de convenções climáticas. O objetivo do estudo é apresentar uma visão ampliada da transição energética dentro do contexto nacional e internacional e principais desafios e oportunidades existentes nos dias atuais. A metodologia baseia-se em levantamento bibliográfico acerca das ações e políticas relacionadas à transição energética. Os resultados mostram o longo caminho a ser percorrido pelo setor energético brasileiro de modo a atender as exigências e metas de reduções de emissões de GEE.

Abstract:
The energy transition presents itself as an urgent solution in the face of global climate changes. The decarbonisation of the energy matrixes of world nations requires the modernization and application of regulatory instruments to make their energy systems more flexible, in order to achieve energy sustainability goals. National and international energy transition initiatives are contained in the study. Since the 2000s, Brazil has been adopting measures to promote and expand the use of renewable energy sources in order to meet the commitment signed by international environmental protection agreements and climate conventions. The aim of the study is to present an expanded view of the energy transition within the national and international context and the main challenges and opportunities existing today. The methodology is based on a bibliographic survey about the actions and policies related to the energy transition. The results show the long road ahead for the Brazilian energy sector to meet the requirements and targets for GHG emission reductions.
