TRANSIÇÃO AGROECOLÓGICA DE AGRICULTORES FAMILIARES DO TERRITÓRIO SERTÃO PRODUTIVO, CANDIBA-BA
A população do território Sertão
Produtivo concentra-se no meio rural e neste
cenário o agricultor familiar surge como
protagonista de importância econômica e
social. Para seu desenvolvimento o caminho
mais adequado é o da agroecologia. Neste
contexto o objetivo deste estudo foi identificar
características de agricultores familiares
do território Sertão Produtivo, Candiba-BA
para o desenvolvimento futuro das técnicas
agroecológicas. A pesquisa foi realizada no
município de Candiba – BA, aplicou-se um
questionário semi-estruturado que possibilitou
extrair variáveis que abordavam sobre o
manejo agrícola adotado. Os dados levantados
foram agrupados, analisados por meio de
estatística descritiva. Verificou-se que os
agricultores estão ligados às tradições das
comunidades, usam sementes crioulas, adotam
manejo de adubação orgânica e cultivam
plantas medicinais. De modo geral, 50% dos
agricultores familiares estão sob transição para
o sistema agroecológico de produção.

Abstract:
The population of the Sertão
Produtivo territory is concentrated in the rural
environment and in this scenario the family
farmer appears as a protagonist of economic and
social importance. For its development the most
suitable way is the one of agroecology. In this
context, the objective of this study was to identify
characteristics of family farmers in the Sertão
Produtivo territory, Candiba-BA for the future
development of agroecological techniques.
The research was carried out in the city of
Candiba - BA, a semi - structured questionnaire
was applied that allowed the extraction of
variables that approached about the agricultural
management adopted. The collected data were
grouped, analyzed by means of descriptive
statistics. It has been found that the farmers are
linked to the traditions of the communities, they
use creole seeds, they adopt management of organic fertilization and they cultivate
medicinal plants. In general, 50% of family farmers are undergoing transition to the
agro-ecological production system.
