TRANSFORMAÇÕES DO TEMPO E DO ESPAÇO: ASPECTOS DO FANTÁSTICO
RESUMO: O objetivo deste artigo é analisar os elementos do fantástico tradicional “transformações do tempo e do espaço”, no romance Não verás país nenhum, de Ignácio de Loyola Brandão. O fantástico tradicional foi estudado, consistentemente, por Tzvetan Todorov, em 1968, no livro Introdução à literatura fantástica. Segundo o teórico, o tempo e o espaço dos textos fantásticos não são os mesmos da vida cotidiana, uma vez que ambos parecem reduzidos ou prolongados, conforme são apresentados no romance em estudo. O tempo e o espaço modificados causam angústia e terror nas personagens, diante da falta de acolhida expressa pela atmosfera que transparecem. Os elementos do fantástico foram empregados, nessa obra, sobretudo para mencionar aspectos da ditadura militar no Brasil.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to analyze the elements of the traditional fantastic “transformations of time and space”, in the novel You will Não verás país nenhum, by Ignácio de Loyola Brandão. The traditional fantastic was consistently studied by Tzvetan Todorov, in 1968, in the book Introdução à Literatura Fantástica. According to the theorist, the time and space of fantastic texts are not the same as those of everyday life, since both seem reduced or prolonged, as they are presented in the novel under study. The modified time and space cause anguish and terror in the characters, given the lack of acceptance expressed by the atmosphere they reveal. The elements of the fantastic were used, in this work, mainly to mention aspects of the military dictatorship in Brazil.
