TRAJETÓRIA DO INDIVÍDUO AMPUTADO DO PÓS-CIRÚRGICO À REABILITAÇÃO
O objetivo deste estudo foi investigar o passo-a-passo da trajetória de pacientes amputados, do momento de sua amputação, até sua chegada ao setor de reabilitação, no município de Santarém-Pa. Foram entrevistados 14 indivíduos amputados (de qualquer membro). As informações obtidas revelaram que em Santarém o médico ainda é o principal profissional a fornecer o encaminhamento para o paciente amputado iniciar sua reabilitação; que a maioria destes pacientes teve acesso ao tratamento de reabilitação pelo sistema público de saúde (92,86%), embora apenas 1 deles chegou ao atendimento de reabilitação através do fluxo regular orientado pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Santarém; e que maioria conseguiu chegar ao atendimento de reabilitação levando o seu encaminhamento diretamente ao setor de autorização e agendamento de consultas da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Santarém (evitando a participação das unidades básicas de saúde) ou buscando diretamente um dos serviços públicos que realizam atendimento fisioterapêutico para protetização e readaptação funcional de pacientes amputados da cidade de Santarém (evitando assim a participação das unidades básicas de saúde e da própria Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Santarém). O longo tempo de espera para conseguir a devida autorização e agendamento para o inicio do tratamento reabilitacional, é provavelmente o principal entrave que leva os pacientes amputados a buscarem tais caminhos alternativos na cidade de Santarém.

Abstract:
The goal of this study was to investigate the step-by-step of amputated patients, from the amputation surgery, until their arrival at the rehabilitation. 14 amputees (from any limb) were interviewed, in Santarém-Pa city. The information colected revealed that in Santarém the doctor is still the main professional to provide the referral for the patient to begin his rehabilitation; that most of these patients had access to rehabilitation treatment through the public health system (92.86%), however only 1 of them arrived at the rehabilitation care by the regular flow of the Municipal Health Department of Santarém; and that most managed to get to rehabilitation care taking their referral directly to the authorization sector and scheduling appointments at the Santarém Municipal Health Secretariat (avoiding the participation of basic health units) or directly looking for of the public services that provide physical therapy care in the city of Santarém (thus avoiding the participation of the basic health units and the Santarém Municipal Health Department). The long waiting time to obtain the proper authorization and scheduling for the beginning of rehabilitation, is probably the main obstacle that leads amputees to search such alternative paths in the city of Santarém.
