Abstract: This work is the result of an analysis of the Brazilian social misery, social movements, demographic transition, and territory management on a national and regional scale - Brazil/Goiás. The objective is to highlight how such approaches occur in space production listing hunger as a political issue and the importance of social movements for the emergence of citizen actions such as Citizenship Action Against Hunger, the configuration of the current population as a product of the transitions occurred in the twentieth century. The methodology was carried out in qualitative and bibliographical research. The results show that among all social miseries hunger is one of the most perverse, it plagues thousands of people living in a state of malnutrition and extreme hunger, who see empty dishes as an invitation to death. Thus, the exploitation of labor has increased the wealth of the owners of the means of production, social movements seek the appreciation of labor, social movements have displaced populations, and the management of the territory is mostly done by the pact of the elite.
