TRABALHO E MIGRAÇÃO: ANÁLISES SOBRE A POPULAÇÃO OCUPADA NO SETOR CALÇADISTA DO MUNICÍPIO DE NOVA SERRANA-MG
Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar
a população ocupada no setor calçadista do
município de Nova Serrana – MG à luz da fator
migração. A hipótese principal do artigo é que o
intenso crescimento populacional do município
está vinculado a atratividade da indústria
calçadista. Foram trabalhados os microdados
da Amostra do Censo de 2010. Os principais
resultados indicam que 62,6% dos ocupados
no município trabalham na indústria calçadista.
Destes, 83,6% não nasceram no município de
Nova Serrana. Analisando por Unidades da
Federação, 66,1% nasceram em Minas Gerais,
sendo Ceará, Bahia e São Paulo os outros
estados que mais fornecem mão de obra para
o setor.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the
population employed in the footwear industry of
the municipality of Nova Serrana - MG in light
of the migration factor. The main hypothesis of
the article is that the intense population growth
of the municipality is linked to the attractiveness
of the footwear industry. The microdata of the
2010 Census Sample were worked. The main
results indicate that 62.6% of the employed in
the municipality work in the footwear industry. Of
these, 83.6% were not born in the municipality
of Nova Serrana. Analyzing by Federation
Units, 66.1% were born in Minas Gerais, Ceará,
Bahia and São Paulo being the other states that
provide the most labor for the sector.
