TRABALHO DE CONCLUSÃO DE CURSO: IMUNOTERAPIA NO CÂNCER DE MAMA
Introdução: O câncer é definido como um conjunto de doenças que têm em comum o crescimento desordenado de células que invadem tecidos e órgãos. Ao longo dos anos, diversas terapêuticas destinadas ao câncer foram adotadas, estudas e aprimoradas. Dentre estas, as pesquisas com imunoterapia aplicadas à oncologia recebeu grande enfoque, se tornando um importante meio para o tratamento e melhora do prognóstico dos pacientes oncológicos. Objetivo: O propósito deste estudo é realizar uma revisão bibliográfica referente ao uso da imunoterapia no tratamento do câncer de mama, a neoplasia de maior incidência entre as mulheres por todo o mundo, sendo responsável por 25,2% dos cânceres que acometem as mulheres. Metodologia: Para realização deste estudo foram consultadas plataformas, BIREME (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), PubMed (National Library of Medicine) e National Institutes of Health, explorando artigos publicados entre 2003 e 2019. Resultados e discussão: Tratamentos experimentais utilizando células imunológicas de pacientes, foram capazes de reverter carcinomas de mama em estágio avançado, possibilitando a remissão da doença que até então era improvável. Conclusão: As avaliações epidemiológicas sobre a utilização da imunoterapia, bem como pesquisas que visem proporcionar novas drogas e estratégias para o tratamento de carcinomas, são importantes para conhecer melhor o perfil dos pacientes, objetivando ofertar terapêuticas cada vez mais modernas, eficientes e com menores porcentagens de efeitos adversos.

Abstract:
Introduction: Cancer is defined as a set of diseases that have in common the disordered growth of cells that invade tissues and organs. Over the years, several therapies for cancer have been adopted, studied and improved. Among these, research with immunotherapy applied to oncology received a great focus, becoming an important means for the treatment and improvement of the prognosis of cancer patients. Objective: The purpose of this study is to carry out a bibliographic review regarding the use of immunotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer, the neoplasm with the highest incidence among women worldwide, being responsible for 25.2% of cancers that affect women. Methodology: For this study, platforms were consulted, BIREME (Virtual Health Library), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), PubMed (National Library of Medicine) and National Institutes of Health, exploring articles published between 2003 and 2019. Results and discussion: Experimental treatments using immune cells from patients, were able to reverse breast carcinomas in an advanced stage, allowing the remission of the disease that until then was unlikely. Conclusion: Epidemiological assessments on the use of immunotherapy, as well as research aimed at providing new drugs and strategies for the treatment of carcinomas, are important to better understand the profile of patients, aiming to offer increasingly modern, efficient therapies and with lower percentages adverse effects.
