TOXICIDADE ORAL AGUDA DO SEMISSINTÉTICO ÉTER N-BUTIL DILAPIOL EM CAMUNDONGOS BALB/C
RESUMO: O éter n-butil dilapiol (1KL43-C) é um derivado semissintético do dilapiol com potencial efeito inseticida em Aedes aegypti e Aedes albopictus e, portanto, pode ser utilizado em ações estratégicas para o controle destes mosquitos, que são vetores do vírus da dengue e apresentam resistência aos inseticidas sintéticos. Porém o efeito tóxico deste composto em mamíferos ainda é desconhecido. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a toxicidade oral aguda do 1KL43-C em camundongos Balb/C. Os resultados deste estudo indicam que o 1KL43-C em altas concentrações é tóxico na espécie avaliada, sendo necessárias novas avaliações sobre a genotoxicidade do composto e sua aplicação em água potável, em baixas concentrações.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: The n-butyl dillapiole ether (1KL43-C) is a semisynthetic derivative of dilapiol with a potential insecticidal effect in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus and can therefore be used in strategic actions to control these mosquitoes, which are vectors of the dengue virus and are resistant to synthetic insecticides. But the toxic effect of this compound on mammals is still unknown. The present study aimed to evaluate the acute oral toxicity of 1KL43-C in Balb / C mice. The results of this study indicate that 1KL43-C in high concentrations is toxic in the evaluated species, being necessary new evaluations on the genotoxicity of the compound and its application in drinking water, in low concentrations.
