TOURISM AND CULTURE: AN ANALYSIS OF THE SURVIVAL STRATEGIES OF THE CARIMBÓ GROUPS IN BELÉM-PA
Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a relação entre a organização de grupos de apresentação de Carimbó e a continuidade e manutenção do fazer dessa expressão cultural e patrimônio imaterial em Belém-PA. A relevância dessa analise dá-se pela primazia que o carimbó ocupa com representação cultural paraense elencada na produção e promoção da espacialidade turística no estado do Pará, bem como, por sua dimensão enquanto patrimônio imaterial brasileiro institucionalizado. O percurso metodológico envolveu levantamento bibliográfico, documental e trabalho de campo com roteiro de observação dirigida e a entrevista semiestruturada realizada com vinte e dois integrantes de sete grupos que apresentam o carimbó em Belém-PA. Os resultados indicam a importância dos fazeres dos grupos de carimbó dessa cidade à manutenção, transmissão das particularidades dessa expressão cultural tendo para isso que recorrer a apresentações em complexos turísticos e casas de shows locais.

Abstract:
This work has as objective to analyze the relationship between the organization of presentation groups in Carimbó and the continuity and maintenance of the making of this cultural expression and intangible heritage in Belém-PA. The relevance of this analysis is due to the primacy that the carimbó occupies with Pará's cultural representation listed in the production and promotion of tourism spatiality in the state of Pará, as well as, for its dimension as institutionalized Brazilian intangible heritage. The path methodological involved bibliographic, documentary and fieldwork with a guided observation script and a semi-structured interview conducted with twenty-two members of seven groups who present Carimbó in Belém-PA. The results indicate the importance of the actions of the carimbó groups in that city for the maintenance, transmission of the particularities of this cultural expression having to resort to it presentations in tourist complexes and local concert halls.
