TORÉ INDÍGENA TABAJARA: DANÇA, CULTURA E TRANSFORMAÇÕES
Este trabalho busca compreender a cultura do povo Indígena Tabajara da Paraíba a partir da noção de corporeidade. Para tanto, partimos da questão: Quais processos e interesses culturais vêm produzindo uma transformação na representação do corpo indígena Tabajara? Tais ações têm acentuado a relevância social do Toré no processo de retomada e afirmação da indianidade. A partir dos estudos elaborados por Farias; Barcellos (2012) e Grünewald (2005) pretendemos analisar a dança do Toré e as novas articulações corporais e sociais que os indígenas Tabajara promovem em seus processos de afirmação étnica. Observaremos ainda a religião como um ponto que intervém nessa reelaboração e na prática da dança do Toré pelos indígenas mais velhos.

Abstract:
The main purpose of this research is to understand the indigenous culture of the Tabajara people of Paraiba from the perspective of the body. The driving question is: what processes and cultural tendencies have been transforming the bodily representativity of the Tabajara people?
Those actions have been emphasizing the social relevance of the Toré in the process of recovery and affirmation of their indigenous identity.Based on the studies of Farias; Barcelos (2012) and Grünewald (2005) our purpose is to analyze the Toré dance as well as the new bodily and social articulation carried out by the Tabajara people in their processes of ethnic affirmation. We also take religion into account in tandem with the re-elaboration and practice of the Toré among older generations.
