TOPÔNIMOS LATINIZADOS NA FLORA BRASILIENSIS: O ANO DE 1819 DA MISSÃO AUSTRO-ALEMÃ NO BRASIL
Uma das abordagens possíveis na análise filológica, e na descrição linguística, do uso do latim científico, nas obras dos naturalistas do século XIX, que percorreram o território do Brasil, ocorre pela observação do registro de topônimos brasileiros descritos em latim. Será analisada a obra Flora Brasiliensis, que registra os topôni-mos dos locais visitados pelos naturalistas Carl F. P. von Martius e Johann Baptist von Spix, durante sua estadia no Brasil no ano de 1819. O texto original, escrito em latim científico, será traduzido e analisado quanto à adaptação dos nomes ao latim científico. Ademais, para a descrição linguística serão debatidas questões relativas à ecolinguística, da interação entre língua, povo e território, e como os estudos de toponímia se contextualizam nesta perspectiva linguística.

Abstract:
One of the possible approaches in the philological analysis and linguistic description of the use of scientific Latin in the works of nineteenth-century naturalists who traveled the territory of Brazil occurs by observing the register of Brazilian toponyms described in Latin. Flora Brasiliensis, which records the names of the places visited by naturalists Carl FP von Martius and Johann Baptist von Spix, will be analyzed during his stay in Brazil in 1819. The original text, written in scientific Latin, will be translated and analyzed as to the adaptation of names to scientific Latin. Moreover, for the linguistic description will be debated questions concerning the ecolinguistics, the interaction between language, people and territory, and how the studies of toponymy are contextualized in this linguistic perspective.
