TOLERÂNCIA E ACEITAÇÃO DA PREPARAÇÃO ALCOÓLICA PARA HIGIENIZAÇÃO DAS MÃOS POR PROFISSIONAIS DA SAÚDE EM UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA
Objetivo: avaliar a tolerância e aceitação
da preparação alcoólica para higienização
das mãos, por profissionais da saúde, em
Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Método: estudo
descritivo, quantitativo, desenvolvido com
80 profissionais de saúde, no período de 21
de junho a 1 de julho de 2016, por meio de
questionário para avaliação da preparação
alcoólica para higienização das mãos e da
questão “sua satisfação com o produto alcoólico
disponibilizado na unidade interfere na adesão
à higienização das mãos?”. Os dados foram
organizados e armazenados em planilhas
eletrônicas do software Microsoft Office Excel,
versão 2010, submetida à análise descritiva em
medidas, e proporção. Resultados: a avaliação
da tolerância e aceitação foi positiva para as
variáveis: odor, com maior pontuação de 32,5%
(n=26), textura 31,25% (n=25), velocidade de
secagem 27,5% (n=22) e irritação 35% (n=28);
negativa para as variáveis: facilidade de uso
do dispensador 27,5% (n=22) e efeito de
ressecamento 36,25% (n=29). A variável mãos
pegajosas após o primeiro uso apresentou
opiniões divergentes, 26,25% (n=21) atribuíram
insatisfação e 26,25% (n=21) satisfação. Quanto
à satisfação dos participantes com o produto
alcoólico disponibilizado e sua interferência na
adesão à higienização das mãos, a maioria dos
participantes assinalou não interferir 38,75%
(n=31) ou apresentar pouca interferência
33,75% (n=27). 25% (n=20) apontou muita
interferência. Conclusão: o nível de tolerância
e aceitação da preparação alcoólica para
higienização das mãos por profissionais da
saúde em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva foi
considerado satisfatório.

Abstract:
Objective: to evaluate the tolerance and acceptance of alcoholic preparation for hand
hygiene by health professionals in the Intensive Care Unit. Method: a descriptive,
quantitative study developed with 80 health professionals, from June 21 to July 1, 2016,
through a questionnaire to evaluate the alcoholic preparation for hand hygiene and the
question “their satisfaction with the alcoholic product available in the unit interferes
with adherence to hand hygiene? “. Data was organized and stored in spreadsheets
of Microsoft Office Excel software, version 2010, subject to descriptive analysis in
measurements, and proportion. Results: the evaluation of tolerance and acceptance
was positive for the following variables: odor, with highest score of 32.5% (n = 26),
texture 31.25% (n = 25), drying rate 27.5% = 22) and irritation 35% (n = 28); negative
for the variables: ease of use of the dispenser 27.5% (n = 22) and dryness effect
36.25% (n = 29). The variable sticky hands after the first use presented divergent
opinions, 26.25% (n = 21) attributed dissatisfaction and 26.25% (n = 21) satisfaction.
Concerning the satisfaction of the participants with the alcoholic product available and
their interference in adherence to hand hygiene, the majority of participants indicated
that they did not interfere with 38.75% (n = 31) or presented little interference (33.75%)
(n = 27). 25% (n = 20) showed a lot of interference. Conclusion: the level of tolerance
and acceptance of alcoholic preparation for hand sanitization by health professionals
in the Intensive Care Unit was considered satisfactory.
