Abstract: This article aims to analyze the role of the Military Police of the State of Pará in preventive education through the Educational Program for Resistance to Drugs and Violence (PROERD), highlighting its importance in preventing drug use, reducing school violence, and strengthening citizenship among children and adolescents. The research seeks to understand how the educational actions developed by the Military Police contribute to the social formation and awareness of students in the school environment, promoting ethical values, responsibility, and peaceful coexistence. The study was developed through bibliographic research, with a qualitative approach and descriptive character, using as foundations the Federal Constitution of 1988, the Statute of the Child and Adolescent, institutional documents of PROERD, and authors from the areas of education, sociology, and public security. It was found that PROERD represents an important instrument of social prevention, acting not only in the preventive fight against drugs and violence, but also in bringing together the Military Police, school, family, and community. It was also evidenced that preventive education constitutes a relevant mechanism for strengthening citizenship and promoting a culture of peace in the school environment.
