TERRA INDÍGENA ARARIBOIA: apontamentos sobre as dinâmicas socioprodutivas e territoriais
O presente trabalho objetiva apresentar alguns apontamentos sobre os aspectos socioprodutivos e territoriais da Terra Indígena Arariboia, localizada na amazônia maranhense, microrregião de Imperatriz. Evidencia-se também os consensos e conflitos em torno do acesso aos recursos naturais da biodiversidade que a referida área indígena abriga. Dois povos indígenas partilham a vivência na TI Arariboia. Os Guajajara, como são conhecidos regionalmente, ou Tentehar como se autodenominam são um dos povos mais numerosos do país. E os Awá Guajá, que perambulam pelo interior da mata, ainda de forma nômade e sem contato direto com a sociedade envolvente, através da coleta de vegetais e da caça. O povo Tentehar, como preferem, desenvolve os sistemas de produção, como os quintais, roças e o extrativismo. Com a redução significativa e acelerada dos recursos naturais, e a concentração de população migrante neste território fez com que ao longo dos tempos o entorno de Terras Indígenas fosse ocupado e diversas estratégias de reprodução dos modos de vida desses povos indígenas foram adotadas por eles mesmo e pelo Estado.

Abstract:
This paper aims to presente some notes on the sócio-productive and territorial aspects of the Arariboia Indigenous Land, located in the Amazon region of Maranhão, in the micro-region of Imperatriz. It also highlights the consensus and conflicts surrounding access to natural biodiversity resources that the aforementioned indigenous area shelters. Two indigenous peoples share their experience in TI Arariboia. The Guajajara, as they are known regionally, or Tenetehara as they call themselves, are one of the most numerous peoples in the country. And the Awá Guajá, who roam the interior of the forest, still in a nomadic way and without direct contact with the surrounding society, through the collection of vegetables and hunting. The Tenetehara people, as they prefer, develop production systems such as backyards, gardens and and extractivism. With the significant and accelerated reduction of natural resources, and the concentration of migrant population in this territory, over time the surroundings of Indigenous. Lands were occupied and various strategies for reproducing the ways of life of these indigenous peoples were adopted by themselves and by the State.
