TERAPIA NUTRICIONAL EM PACIENTES DESNUTRIDOS AFETADOS COM COVID-19 EM UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA
A desnutrição é um problema que afeta o sistema imunológico do indivíduo, podendo levar a agravamentos no quadro de saúde. Pessoas com Covid-19 ficam mais suscetíveis à infecção e alto risco de mortalidade e se internadas em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) é aconselhável antecipar-se a uma estratégia nutricional adequada, incluindo o fornecimento acertado de proteína-energia. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo evidenciar a terapia nutricional no combate à desnutrição do paciente com Covid-19 em UTI. Como metodologia tem-se uma revisão da literatura por meio de estudos disponibilizados em banco de dados na internet. Os resultados apontam que a intervenção nutricional deve ser continuamente avaliada com base no risco/benefício para o paciente e profissionais de saúde. Conclui-se que a terapia nutricional com oferta acrescida de proteínas e rica em imunonutrientes pode melhorar o prognóstico clínico do paciente com Covid-19 em UTI.

Abstract:
Malnutrition is a problem that affects the individual's immune system, which can lead to worsening health. People with Covid-19 are more susceptible to infection and high risk of mortality and if admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) it is advisable to anticipate an adequate nutritional strategy, including the right supply of protein-energy. Thus, this work aims to highlight nutritional therapy in the fight against malnutrition in patients with Covid-19 in the ICU. As a methodology, there is an review of the literature through studies available in a database on the internet. The results indicate that nutritional intervention should be continuously evaluated based on risk/benefit for the patient and health professionals. It is concluded that nutritional therapy with increased supply of proteins and rich in immunonutrients can improve the clinical prognosis of patients with Covid-19 in the ICU.
