Abstract: The menopausal transition happen with as the end of reproductive and menstrual cycle due to reduction in the ovarian activity and typically at 51 year old. As women spend a significant portion of their lifespan in the postmenopausal phase and these impact of this physilogical phenomen on their quality of life is substantial. This occur mainly by the decrease in hormones production as estrogen. In this context, the aim of this work is discuss the benefits of testosterone hormone therapy in menopausal woman. The testosterone hormone therapy has been utilized for more than sixty years in reduction of the menopause and perimenopause symptoms. Yet, the androgens use in woman health is very interesting. Worldwide, evidence suggests improvements in quality of life and woman health with the use of testosterone therapy. Despite the unavailability of specific formulations for women—then, using the off-label man formulations—the effects of testosterone therapy are highlighted. In this review, the searched articles show the positive effects of testosterone hormone therapy instead negative action.
