TEORIA GERAL DE SISTEMAS – RELEVÂNCIA NA TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMAÇÃO
Bertalanffy desenvolveu uma teoria de princípios universais, focalizando isomorfismos, isto é, propriedades gerais que aparecem em diferentes disciplinas científicas. Destarte, identificando a interação como o problema central em todos os campos da ciência, o conceito fundamental da investigação científica seria o de “sistema” e essa teoria interdisciplinar seria uma “teoria geral para os sistemas”. Dentre as diversas áreas a que a Teoria Geral dos Sistemas seria aplicável, estão a embriologia, o sistema nervoso, a cognição, a psicologia, a ecologia, a economia, as ciências sociológicas, a organização administrativa, os processos de urbanização, os negócios, o governo, as políticas internacionais, entre outras. Este paradigma ocupa papel relevante, não apenas em âmbito epistemológico, mas também em atividades funcionais da sociedade moderna.

Abstract:
Bertalanffy developed a theory of universal principles, focusing on isomorphisms, that is, general properties that appear in different scientific disciplines. Thus, identifying interaction as the central problem in all fields of science, the fundamental concept of scientific investigation would be that of “system” and this interdisciplinary theory would be a “general theory for systems”. Among the various areas to which the General Systems Theory would be applicable are embryology, the nervous system, cognition, psychology, ecology, economics, sociological sciences, administrative organization, urbanization processes, business, government, international policies, among others. This paradigm occupies a relevant role, not only in the epistemological scope, but also in the functional activities of modern society.
