Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate whether fermented extracts have the potential to alter the availability of soil nutrients for plants. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design (CRD) in a 2x4 factorial scheme, with two types of soil (more clayey texture and more sandy texture) and 4 substrates (without extract, green tea extract, guarana extract and citrus pomace extract) with biochar. The soils used were collected in the cerrado area of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso, in the layer of 20 to 40 cm deep. The soils were incubated for 30 days with the extracts and subsequently evaluated in relation to pH, potential acidity, organic matter content and nutrients. The fermented extracts increase the pH, soil organic matter and reduce potential acidity, manganese and aluminum in the soil, however, there is no difference between the types of substrates used.
