Abstract: The connection between psychoanalysis and education is not new, since there are many papers and studies on this delicate intersection, with approximations and distances. Both deal with the challenging task of bonding in human relationships and with the different subjectivities that arise from the psychic constitution. A possible study is to try to bring the thinking of Sigmund Freud and Paulo Freire closer to the new pedagogical trends that question the teacher's position and their role as a teacher. In this sense, this article aims to seek contributions from Freudian psychoanalysis and Freirean pedagogy to this new scenario that teachers face. Theoretical support is, fundamentally, in the works of Freire and Freud. From a methodological point of view, this is bibliographic research. From the analyses conducted, it was possible to identify some points of intersection between Freire's pedagogy and psychoanalysis, which can contribute to the teacher's practice.
