Abstract: Introduction: It is proven that newborns have particularly fragile skin, specially premature babies, which makes it easier to the appearance of skin lesions that expose them, mainly, to the risk of infections. The main risk factors include medical devices and the use of inappropriate emollients when bathing and for injuries. Objective: Therefore, it is necessary to seek measures that guide Health Professionals in preventing and caring for skin problems in newborns, and that also guide studies for the development of specific products for the prevention and treatment of this public’s injuries. Metodology: This is an integrative review where the included studies answered the following guiding question: which scientific evidences are available for technologies for the treatment of the most common injuries in newborns. And independent double-blind data search was performed. Due to the particularity of the topic and the lack of articles in the literature on the same topic, studies published between 2011 and 2022 were included in the following databases: PUBMED, MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF. Results: The research resulted in 345 publications, where eight studies were chosen for the review. Final considerations: It was noticed the emphasis on treatment studies and the scarcity of studies about the prevention of injuries made by medical devices in newborns.
