Abstract: New technologies, especially digital ones, have caused changes in our perception of time and space. In the most varied segments of society, electronic devices permeate work, social and cultural activities, modifying practices in both teaching and learning. At the same time that experts around the world discuss the most effective ways of introducing technological innovations at all levels of education, the university, an environment that complements the individual's training as a citizen and professional, receives high school graduates with increasingly high expectations. Digital natives, when in the university environment, expect the world around them to also be present in the activities proposed in the classroom. Involved in this emerging paradigm that surrounds education, this research describes the perception of higher education students regarding teaching didactics and the use of new technologies in the classroom, based on studies by Moran (2000), Behrens (2000), Masetto (2000), Pfromm Neto (1998) and Antunes (2012). When collecting data, interviews were carried out with academics from an Advertising Course at an institution in Santa Catarina, South of Brazil. In the results, we used the content analysis technique. In the conclusive elements, the humanization of teaching is seen as a relevant factor in the learning process.
