Abstract: Objective: To analyze the scientific production pertinent to health technologies related to the assessment of the health of workers in the prison system. Methodology: Integrative review according to the stages of Whittemore and Knafl, with searches in eight databases. With the help of the Mendeley® bibliographic reference manager Results: 77 articles were selected, of which, in the end, six comprised the study sample. Most studies had prison guards as a population in the context of Burnout Syndrome and other work-related mental disorders. One of the studies investigated latent tuberculosis infection in the same population. Two studies were conducted in Brazilian penitentiaries, while the others were carried out in Australia. When it comes to the health technologies found, questionnaires, scales and focus groups stand out. Conclusion: Incorporating new assistance technologies into the health context of workers in the prison system is fundamental for health promotion and prevention. Contributions to nursing practice: As nursing professionals are an integral part of the prison system team, they are also exposed to the risks of illness due to the work carried out. It is essential to promote the quality of working life of these professionals, considering that their work is essential for maintaining the health of people deprived of their liberty. This can be compromised when these professionals are not in a position to perform with quality.
