Abstract: This article analyzes the integration of digital technologies and active methodologies in the early years of elementary school (grades 1 to 5), based on a literature review. It begins with the understanding that digital culture reconfigures ways of producing knowledge and learning, which is why the pedagogical use of technologies must go beyond the instrumental dimension, requiring didactic intentionality, teacher mediation, and the reorganization of school time and space. Active methodologies widely cited in the literature are described and discussed: flipped classroom, problem-based learning, project-based learning, station rotation, gamification, and case studies. It argues that these approaches foster student authorship and autonomy, promote meaningful learning, and develop cognitive, communication, and socioemotional skills, in line with the BNCC (National Framework for Educational Development), which establishes digital culture as a general competency. It also examines implications for inclusive instructional design, valuing students' sensory and cultural diversity and active participation in contextualized settings. Persistent challenges to effective integration are mapped: unequal access and infrastructure, gaps in teacher training, and resistance to methodological changes. Prospects include the critical pedagogical use of free digital resources, ongoing training, collaborative work, and the intentional planning of student-centered learning experiences. The conclusion is that the articulation of digital technologies and active methodologies can make early-year schools more dynamic, equitable, and connected to reality, preparing students for digital citizenship and to face complex 21st-century problems. The article systematizes objectives, principles, and examples applicable in the classroom.
