Abstract: Objective: To verify in the literature which technologies are used by nursing management to assess nurses' skills during the development of care. Method: This is an integrative review, according to the steps proposed by Mendes, Silveira and Galvão, whose search was carried out in October 2022, in the databases: National Center for Biotechnology Information, Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Scientific Electronic Library Online Literatura. The search in the databases will be carried out through a protocol elaborated with the help of the UFSC librarian, using the bibliographic reference manager. The research followed an ethical standard for research involving human beings. Results: Ten instruments were raised to assess the professional competence of nurses, classified as light technologies for the management process. Conclusion: The technologies involved in health work as a form of management to govern work processes are classified as light. We emphasize that there are scales to measure the competence of professional nurses, being effective tools to assist in the process of evaluating basic professional competencies by nurse managers. Contributions to nursing practice: Such technologies enable reflection on nurses' competence instruments, mainly of an evaluative nature, and can be a useful tool for nursing managers in evaluating nurses' competences
