Abstract: This article appears in the context of the professional master's degree in Visual Arts Teaching of Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal), more particularly during the PES - Supervised Teaching Practice held at EASR - Escola Artística Soares dos Reis (Oporto, Portugal). During this experiment, as an attentive observer of two classes (11th grade) in the discipline of Drawing A, it was possible to observe essentially lack of attention / concentration of the students when the observation and reflection in the subsequent representation of a certain model. Based on this observation, the problem was based on the sense of touch as an essential tool to increase the attention, questioning and perception of the students and that facilitated the representation of the real through the drawing. The main concern to act, as a teacher, was through exercises where this sensoriality, reflection and construction of meaning was a constant action and that led the process to the "individual search" of knowledge and graphic communication of the surrounding world. Overall, the body of this paper synthesizes some processes and data obtained from the evolution of graphic performance focusedon possible synapses between the senses of vision and touch.
