TANATOLOGIA: A EDUCAÇÃO SOBRE A MORTE NO CONTEXTO ESCOLAR
A morte é vista pela sociedade
como um tabu. A construção histórica sobre
este fenômeno o distanciou da naturalidade
com a qual deveria ser visto, afinal, faz parte
do ciclo vital. A escola, como responsável pela
formação da sociedade em vários âmbitos,
deve dialogar com as crianças e adolescentes
a respeito do tema, promovendo uma educação
para as questões humanas, para vida e para
a morte. Diante do que foi exposto, o estudo
tem como objetivo a produção científica
abordando a análise do processo histórico que
deu origem ao atual significado de morte, assim
como desmistificar os tabus que o envolvem,
abordando o diálogo sobre o tema no contexto
escolar. Pretende-se articular autores que
discorram sobre as temáticas apresentadas na
narrativa, buscando relacionar os antecedentes
e os resultados acerca da escola e do seu papel
no desenvolvimento de crianças e adolescentes.
Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura,
realizada no período de julho a agosto de
2017, no endereço eletrônico da plataforma da
Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), através de
consultas nas seguintes bases de dados: Scielo
e Google Acadêmico. Foram encontrados 20
artigos, classificados em artigos de medicina,
psicologia, pedagogia e enfermagem. A análise
das publicações selecionadas permitiu a
classificação das seguintes categorias: Percurso
sócio - cultural e histórico da concepção de
morte, A morte como tabu no âmbito acadêmico
e A educação para a morte no contexto escolar.
Foi possível compreender a importância de
uma educação para a morte no contexto
escolar, contribuindo para a saúde emocional
das crianças, adolescentes, professores e da
sociedade, modificando a simbologia construída
historicamente e os tabus acerca do tema.

Abstract:
Death is seen by society as a taboo.
The historical construction on this phenomenon
distanced it from the naturalness with which it should be seen, after all, it is part of the
life cycle. The school, as responsible for the formation of society in various spheres,
should dialogue with children and adolescents on the subject, promoting education
for human issues, for life and for death. To what has been stated, the study aims at
the scientific production analyze the historical process that gave rise to the current
meaning of death, as well as to demystify the taboos that surround it, approaching the
dialogue about the theme in the school context. It is intended to articulate authors who
discuss the themes presented in the narrative, seeking to relate the antecedents and
the results about the school and its role in the development of children and adolescents.
This is an integrative review of the literature, carried out from July to August 2017, at the
electronic address of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) platform, through consultations in
the following databases: Scielo and Google Scholar. We found 20 articles, classified in
articles of medicine, psychology, pedagogy and nursing. The analysis of the selected
publications allowed the classification of the following categories: Route Socio - cultural
and historical course of conception of death. Death as taboo in the academic scope and
Education for death in the school context. It was possible to understand the importance
of an education for death in the school context, contributing to the emotional health
of children, adolescents, teachers and society, modifying historically constructed
symbology and taboos about the theme.
