Abstract: The Periodic Table is extremely important for the Teaching of Chemistry, being a powerful tool that provides an extensive range of information, being taught mostly in a theoretical way in most elementary and high schools. In this work, a thematic Periodic Table was developed, alluding to some chemical elements inserted in the practice of sports that were present at the Tokyo Olympics. One hundred and fifty students participated in an expository explanation about the Olympic Periodic Table and 82 of them answered an authorial questionnaire, which made it possible to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the generated Table, and the type of interaction of students with different profiles with the product. The results show that most students were inclined to learn what was previously unknown, which favors teaching. The students' attention was drawn to the originality of the Table, as well as the related contents, much more than the art involved; even from students who were already involved in some sport. The questionnaire also made it possible to conclude that even in a small moment of knowledge, it is possible to gather knowledge in previously unimaginable spheres: improvement in the quality of food life; increased criticality and possibly research in the course of other activities, such as watching the Olympic Games and and any other everyday events. The present work disseminated Chemistry as a science inserted in the real context of the students' daily life, respecting their experiences and sociocultural peculiarities of each one. This work seeks to encourage teachers to continue seeking alternatives for educational success, from updates in continuing education, to pedagogical-scientific strategies, as framed in this project.
